The wintering grounds… Arkansas is home to North America’s largest concentration of wintering waterfowl… especially along the White River… its flooded hardwood bottoms, agricultural fields, and natural wetlands are prime habitat for ducks and geese looking for food and rest. The Lost Bridge Duck Club, on the White River, is located between the Bald Knob and Augusta, just 2 miles north of the Hurricane Lake Wildlife management area, and about 45 minutes northeast of Little Rock.
Our 3700 acre waterfowl retreat is right in the heart of the wintering grounds, and has incredible diversity in waterfowl habitat. When you hunt with us at the Lost Bridge Duck Club there are opportunities to hunt in nearly every type of habitat found in Arkansas. We have big open water, shallow feeding areas, agricultural fields, natural wetlands, cypress and tupelo breaks, buck brush sloughs, and flooded timber.
When the leaves change their color and the north winds blow, waterfowl by the thousands descend upon the wintering grounds at the Lost Bridge Duck Club… this is where they come to.
Joel Strickland is the co-founder and lead waterfowl guide at Lost Bridge Duck Club.
Joel’s first duck hunt was in the flooded timber of Arkansas in 1985. Since then he has hunted waterfowl all over North America, hunting 41 states, 5 Canadian provinces and Mexico.
Joel loves taking people duck hunting, and he’s been doing it his entire hunting career. His passion for waterfowl opened doors that led to him guiding and managing waterfowl habitat as well as duck clubs in some of the best areas of Arkansas.
In addition to his outdoor pursuits, Joel is an award winning producer in the film and television industry. Recently he brought his love of waterfowl and film production together in his YouTube series called “Surviving Duck Season”. Joel, his wife Ebonie, and their daughter Hadley are all excited to be a part of Lost Bridge Duck Club.
